GigaNodes is launching Ryzen 9 9950X VDS India — AMD’s latest Zen 5 processor at 5.7GHz boost clock, water cooled, KVM virtualisation at Yotta DC Mumbai and Jaipur. Storm VDS plans from ₹2,500/mo. Also launching Ryzen 9 9950X Minecraft hosting at ₹180/GB from ₹720/mo.
When we launched Storm VDS on Ryzen 9 5950X, the feedback was clear — Indian developers and Windows RDP users wanted the fastest single-core performance available in India. The 5950X delivered that at the time. Now AMD has released the Ryzen 9 9950X — Zen 5 architecture, 5.7GHz boost — and we are bringing it to India.
This is not a minor spec bump. Ryzen 9 9950X is a full architecture generation ahead of 5950X — Zen 5 vs Zen 3 — with meaningful IPC improvements on top of the clock speed increase. For workloads that depend on single-core performance, the difference is real and measurable.
Why We Are Launching Ryzen 9 9950X VDS
The demand for Ryzen VDS India has consistently been driven by three use cases — Windows RDP, game servers, and latency-sensitive applications. All three share one requirement: single-core performance matters more than core count.
EPYC 7C13 is excellent for multi-threaded workloads — web hosting, databases, containers. But for Windows RDP, the clock speed of each core determines UI responsiveness. For Minecraft, single-threaded TPS is determined by clock speed. For trading applications, single-threaded execution speed determines latency.
Ryzen 9 9950X at 5.7GHz is the best answer we have ever been able to offer for these workloads in India.
9950X vs 5950X vs EPYC — What Actually Changed
| Spec | Ryzen 9 9950X | Ryzen 9 5950X | EPYC 7C13 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Architecture | Zen 5 | Zen 3 | Zen 3 |
| Max Boost Clock | 5.7GHz | 4.9GHz | 3.68GHz |
| IPC vs EPYC | +35% single-core | +20% single-core | Baseline |
| Cooling | Water Cooled | Water Cooled | Air Cooled |
| Best For | RDP, Game Servers, Trading | RDP, Game Servers | Web, Databases |
| Virtualisation | KVM | KVM | KVM |
| GigaNodes Entry Price | ₹2,500/mo | ₹2,250/mo | ₹400/mo |
The 5.7GHz vs 4.9GHz comparison understates the real-world difference. Zen 5 architecture improves IPC — instructions per clock cycle — by approximately 16% over Zen 3. When you combine 16% more IPC with 16% higher clock speed, the total single-threaded performance improvement is closer to 30-35% over 5950X.
For Windows RDP: 30% faster application loading and UI response. For Minecraft: 30% more TPS headroom under load. For trading bots: 30% faster single-threaded execution.

Also Launching — Ryzen 9 9950X Minecraft Hosting
Alongside Storm VDS 9950X, we are also launching dedicated Ryzen 9 9950X Minecraft hosting India — purpose-built game server hosting at ₹180/GB RAM.
Minecraft is single-threaded. Every tick calculation, every redstone circuit, every mob pathfinding operation runs on one core. 5.7GHz means more of these operations complete per second — higher TPS under heavy load, smoother gameplay, better chunk generation speed for players exploring new areas.
| Plan | RAM | NVMe | Players | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Creeper | 4GB | 60GB | 10-30 | ₹720/mo |
| Enderman POPULAR | 8GB | 80GB | 30-80 | ₹1,440/mo |
| Warden | 16GB | 120GB | 80-150 | ₹2,880/mo |
| Dragon | 32GB | 200GB | 150+ | ₹5,760/mo |
New Locations — Mumbai and Jaipur
Both Ryzen 9 9950X VDS and Minecraft hosting launch with two new India locations — Yotta DC Mumbai and Yotta DC Jaipur.
Who Should Upgrade to Ryzen 9 9950X
Windows RDP Users
If you are running Windows Server 2022 for remote desktop work — Photoshop, accounting software, web browsers — the 5.7GHz clock means noticeably faster UI response. Application loading, window animations, and general responsiveness all improve directly with clock speed. Storm VDS 9950X is the fastest Windows RDP VDS in India.
Minecraft Server Operators
If you are running a Minecraft server with 50+ players, heavy redstone, or a complex modpack — 9950X gives you more TPS headroom than anything else available in India. Existing Ryzen 5950X Minecraft customers who are hitting TPS limits should consider upgrading.
Forex and Algo Trading
MT4 and MT5 trading platforms execute strategies on a single thread. 5.7GHz means faster signal processing, faster order execution, and lower latency between signal detection and order placement. For high-frequency strategies where milliseconds matter, 9950X is a meaningful upgrade.
FiveM Server Operators
FiveM script execution — Lua scripts, C# resources, event handlers — benefits from higher single-core speed. Larger roleplay servers with complex scripts will see better resource tick rates on 9950X vs 5950X or EPYC.
Ryzen 9 9950X vs 5950X — Should You Upgrade?
If you are on Storm VDS 5950X and your workload is not hitting CPU limits — stay where you are. The 5950X is still excellent hardware and not going anywhere.
Upgrade to 9950X if: you are hitting TPS drops on Minecraft, you want faster Windows RDP responsiveness, your trading strategy needs lower execution latency, or you are starting fresh and want the best available single-core performance in India.
Budget is the priority · Workload not hitting CPU limits · Running web hosting or databases (use EPYC instead)
Minecraft TPS dropping · Want fastest Windows RDP in India · Trading bot needs lower latency · Starting fresh and want best performance
